Easter in the northern hemisphere usually rhymes with the return of the sun. This year we've been pretty lucky, most of the weekend was sunny with temperatures reaching a cozy 25°C. I took the opportunity to catch up with a friend around a couple glasses of wine and a cheese platter (ooooh how much I missed cheese!). To celebrate spring, we wanted to have a colorful, and flowered setup. Here are a few tips is you want to host a simple and beautiful picnic at the beach.
- Bring your favorite blanket or big scarf. Ours is from Spell & the Gypsy Collective and is G-I-A-N-T. We didn't need more for 2-3 people. Lie it on the sand, and hold it with heavy shells or stones.
- Gather your favorite tableware : glasses, cutlery, plates. We feel that for outdoor activities, it is important to use the least amount of disposable plastic items possible. We brought a big moroccan-inspired tray and beautiful wooden bowl-plates. We just needed to wash them once home, and definitely didn't leave any garbage on the beach.
- We wanted a cheese-based meal so we chose to bring two types : sheep-milk and goat cheese. Then we had grapes, grapefruits, apples, different types of bread, dattes, cherry jam, and red wine (of course!).
Enjoy your next picnic!
