You may or not have read the story of our "the Locals" tee on our blog (if you haven't make sure to have a look at it here!). If you live in or have visited the Basque Country, you may have recognized where we shot the pictures. Nestled between the Basque country and the Atlantic Ocean, the Beach House is our favorite restaurant in town!
A stone's throw away from the beach lies a small timber house. Once home to families from the area, it has become the HQ of all the surfers of the Basque coast.
The place is tastefully decorated in an ocean cabin style, made from white wood, surf paraphernalia and treasures brought back from all corners of the earth. There is a free and relaxed atmosphere reigning there, reminding of holidays and good times.
We cannot tell if our favorite place is the front yard, where a real boat is used as a bar and the organic food truck lets you take the best tacos in town to the beach... Or it may be the cozy inside, where you can sit on faux fur chairs next to the chimney. Probably sitting the closest to our heart, is the area on the other side of the house. There you will find a secret garden decorated with exotic trees gathered around a pool!
Do you think it's difficult to do everything right? The food quality is up to the design of the place. From ceviche tacos to a tuna bowl, through a nasi goreng, the world-cuisine is really the best found in the Basque Country.
